New Inn Caravan Park

“If Carlsberg did Aerials – 1A would be it” I contacted Dave regarding a very difficult satellite broadband installation to cover a caravan park where we have a holiday home.
Nothing was too much trouble, from site visit, to installation, to fine tuning for the summer holidays!

To say everyone who now has the benefit of broadband is over the moon, would be an understatement. The whole team, from Dave, to Sally, to Tom, have dealt with us with patience you seldom see these days. Da Iawn 1A Aerials – keep up the excellent work!!

New Inn caravan park is a quiet, family friendly site in a secluded location approximately 5 miles north of Saundersfoot. Prior to our visit, the site had no mobile phone reception or broadband feed. With more residents using their holiday home as a temporary base during the summer season, the need for access to the internet for work purposes and leisure activities is becoming more of a priority and we were contacted by three long term residents to discuss the possibility of a broadband feed.

Satellite broadband for a secluded location

Following a detailed site survey and confirming cabled broadband availability was less than 2MB (via the prediction tool SamKnows) , 1a Aerials recommended a satellite broadband installation from Criccieth TV.  The result was a tidy installation of an Avanti satellite dish, cabled to the main stakeholders van.  Internet signal was then securely transmitted via wireless bridge to the other vans involved in the project.  Having a broadband connection also meant that one of the residents could also use his mobile phone (via UMA technology provided by the phone provider).

Internet hotspot for multiple access

Phase 2 of the project was to distribute the broadband feed for use by the rest of the park residents.  An internet hotspot was installed along with several access points,  installed around the site’s perimeter (we even camouflaged our equipment for a more discreet installation!).

If this project hadn’t been so time sensitive, New Inn were eligible for Welsh Government support to access an alternative broadband serviceContact us to see if your caravan park or campsite would be too.
